Hi, I'm Hugo! I'm a software engineer and a fiction writer.

I think a lot about human fictions and the power of discourse to shape our structures. Our most fundamental structures—politics, religion, language—are truths we collectively author and sustain, and I love exploring these truths.

My academic background is in computer architecture and software engineering, and my approach centers on storytelling and craftsmanship—in code, literature, and ideas.

I currently work as a software engineer while writing a novel. In it, I try to mix existentialism, immortality, magic, and the legacy of the French Revolution. The narration explores fear of death, what we are capable of doing to avoid it, and grief.
